Creating trust..

On 7th & 8th September 2018 we conducted fifth India Tea Forum in Siliguri on CII platform and our theme was to salvage the tea industry, which is passing thru a very important phase of rearrangement, by better presentation and marketing for which we had a large gathering of participants from across the country.

Small growers are contributing about 40% of the crop and are not fully geared to cultivate and process teas to make available world class speciality teas. A geopolitical important position of our Siliguri hub gives us leverage by construction of a dry Port here to streamline these setting patterns.

Connecting tourism to tea to generate extra revenue for the industry by making home stays and world class facilities was another important input where we identified areas of Darjeeling, Dooars, Sikkim, Nepal and Bhutan encircling Siliguri which is an important rail head and strategic airport to connect all these high density tourist spots with tea industry.
